Laura Allan
Early Childhood Educator / Infant Toddler Educator / Special Education Assistant / Daycare Supervisor
Laura completed her Early Childhood Education at Douglas College in 1990 and continued on to receive her citation in Infant Toddler Education and Special Education Teacher Assistant. Laura has been teaching at Cedar Drive for more than 15 years and has worked as an early childhood educator in both the preschool and daycare programs. She currently supervises the daycare program and teaches in the preschool program. Laura is married with 3 children and 2 stepchildren. She keeps busy by spending time with family, working out, bike riding, reading, and pursuing her educational goals.

Helen Tsang
Early Childhood Educator
Helen Tsang is a fully licensed ECE with more than 15 years’ experience in the field. She completed her Fine Arts certificate at Emily Carr University of Art and Design, and her goal is to facilitate an environment that nurtures and inspires creativity conducive to early learning. She looks forward to sharing this with families in the community.

Aissa Baisa
Early Childhood Educator
Aissa graduated from the Early Childhood Education program at MTI Community College in 2012. Shortly after that, she began working at Cedar Drive Preschool in the out of school care and daycare programs. She is a fun loving person who likes listening to music, watching movies, shopping, cupcakes, and spending time with her small but growing family.

Leah Rhodes
Early Childhood Educator
Leah graduated from the Early Childhood Education program at Vancouver Career College in November, 2008. Her past childcare experience includes several out of school care programs as well as working as a nanny. Leah is married and lives in Whonnock / Maple Ridge with her husband. She has two beautiful children, one girl and one boy, as well as 2 dogs, 4 cats and 2 horses. Her hobbies include horseback riding and spending time hiking outdoors with her dogs.

Kailyn Nielsen
Early Childhood Educator
Kailyn graduated from the ECE program at Vancouver Career College in 2015. After completing her practicum at Cedar Drive, she was very excited to join the team and begin working in both the daycare and out of school care programs. Outside of work, Kailyn enjoys reading and spending her time outdoors.

Jessica Stephens
Early Childhood Educator 

Jessica finished her ECE schooling at Ridge Meadows College in June of 2013 and is currently working on finishing up her final practicum for her full ECE licence. She completed her first practicum in our daycare program and then started working as relief staff in all 3 programs at Cedar Drive in January of 2014. She now works full time in the out of school care program. Jessica has been babysitting a wide variety of different ages since she was 12 years old and has always had a passion for taking care of children. She grew up in Port Moody and currently resides in Port Coquitlam with her boyfriend, Gord and toy papillon dog, Maggie. In her spare time she enjoys playing softball, hiking, watching movies and spending a lot of quality time with her friends and family.
